As we wrap up an extremely action-packed 2024 in the Mile-High City, Denverites are sitting pretty with the fortune to see a return to Cervantes from Kai Chmura, known as Chmura this Friday, December 13th. Last year, we saw the Denver-based artist shatter Cervantes in his pairing with Oneirogen, while he was supported by Danny Grooves, Cloud-D and Churn in March. This time around, he will be bringing another cast of palatial artists, including Yoko, Snuffy, Supernatural, and absnt.

In addition, our friends at Lost Horizon will be providing their acclaimed Funktion-One Sound, with HMNGBRD instituting the stage design.
Chmura’s agility and ability as a producer/DJ has empowered him to continue to take names and steam with flying colors. The young artist enjoyed a very illustrious 2024 including colossal performances at Gem & Jam, Envision Festival in Costa Rica, Flow Faire, Sol Fest, Submersion, Unison, and Wakaan Festival. He also played several shows all over the country coming off the heels of an already impressive 2023.
Chmura’s growing label: Qualia Records
In addition, he’s played a crucial role within finding and growing Qualia, a collective founded by him, phurn, Lowcation, Comisar, Saturna, and Daggz. This has allowed him to support not only his own unique music and style, but also the work of other talented artists like Comisar, Lowcation, and Daggz. He’s used Qualia as a collaborative platform to amplify the voices of other artists who share similar artistic goals and values of their own – making it more than just a label, but a community and collective of friends who support each other’s artistic vision.
They enjoyed a phenomenal takeover together at the Submersion Festival pre-party a couple of months ago, where we are reminded that Chmura and crew’s creation of Qualia has been a catalyst for not only his own career, but for collaboration and a shared conceptualization with the talented artists around him.
Meet YOKO
Emi Veliz, known as Yoko, has enjoyed an exceptional 2024 herself. With performances at Mission Ballroom, Red Rocks, Infrasound, Day of the Dubs, and The Black Box, the Denver-based artist herself has recently announced that she will be supporting Daily Bread on his recent tour announcement, where she will be joining him on over 13+ different tour stops across the country. She has worked tirelessly the past year-or-so in developing a new direction to her music. She will be playing direct support at the upcoming show, and with releases on Deep Dark & Dangerous and The Gradient Perspective, fans are restlessly anticipating this exciting new chapter in her career.
It’s shows like this one that remind us, again, that Denver isn’t just a desired tour destination for every artist, it is the domain and depot of electronic music as a whole.
