Camping vs. Cabins vs. Hotels
Unfortunately for the bougie bunch, the closest hotels are about 35-50 minutes away. That being said, there are some nearby cabins and lodging options such as Park City Lodge and Resort, CedarHurst Lodge, or Pinecrest Northwoods! For those of you who are about that life, we’ll catch you at the campground afters.

Believe it or not, there is quite a bit of burning going down at Summer’s End Smokeout. Whether it’s the Yooper Cup Contest, on-site dispensaries, workshops and forums, activations and giveaways, vendors, or the general good vibes of their consumption-friendly festival, this is the place to twist up to some bass music.
Traversing the Upper Peninsula
If you’re flying to Summer’s End, your best bet is Sawyer International in Marquette. The festival is about a 50-minute drive from there. While you can fuel and stock up in Republic, options are limited, so pit-stopping in either Marquette or Ishpeming will do you good. As always, drive safe, make sure your lights and registration are good, and don’t get pulled over.
Chuck a Couple Discs
Located on a disc golf course, we highly recommend taking a moment to yeet some plastic. As one of the best hidden gems in Michigan as far as courses go, Boulder Alley features beautiful woods, vicious bomber holes, and a terrain that’ll take your breath away.
Pack for Four Seasons in One Weekend
Michigan weather doesn’t give AF about a forecast. Warm afternoons can turn into chilly evenings, sunny mornings can end with unexpected showers. Pack light clothes for the daytime, a hoodie or jacket for the evenings, and don’t forget rain gear. Dry socks might just end up saving your life.
