If you’re a Lane 8 fan like me, you know he’s always teasing new music. Whether it’s in his YouTube mixes, live sets, or across social. Lane 8, aka Daniel Goldstein, has a way of giving just enough to keep you hooked, and one track in particular that’s been floating around for months has finally arrived.
“World Is Mine,” a long-awaited collab between Kasbo and Lane 8, is officially out now via Lane 8’s label imprint This Never Happened. The track brings together both artists’ signature styles. Lane 8’s expansive, club-driven sound with Kasbo’s more introspective, melodic approach. The collab results in something that feels equally at home on the dancefloor or in a more personal listening moment.
As I stated above, the release follows over a year of fan anticipation, with the track circulating through live sets, mixtapes, and online communities under different names as listeners tried to track it down. Kasbo first played the track during his debut three-hour sunset set at Mishawaka Amphitheatre in September 2025, where it became an immediate standout moment.
“World Is Mine” has been building momentum over the past year, becoming one of the most talked-about IDs in the This Never Happened world. Lane 8 even leaned into the hype with a unique video where fans hum unreleased tracks, challenging him to guess or give clues, a fun glimpse into just how deep the anticipation around this one has been.
Now officially released, the track marks a natural creative crossover between the two, while also highlighting the continued evolution of the label’s sound, rooted in emotion, connection, and music that sticks with you beyond the moment.
“I feel really grateful to be a part of this record. Kasbo and Bjoern both brought so much magic to the song, and all I tried to do was put an exclamation point on that magic. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it a humming hotline hit? I hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it and playing it out over the last year.” – Lane 8
“World Is Mine” is part of a larger EP of the same name, featuring five tracks that have rolled out over the past few months. You can check out the new single + full EP below, and if you’re in or heading to Colorado, you’ll have a chance to catch Lane 8 live as he plays four shows across four cities in just two weeks.
