JOY Continues Exploration into 1990's IDM With 'System of Life' [RB Premiere]

JOY returns once more with another peek into his forthcoming 2020 album titled Soft Whisper. The newest release, “System of Life” continues to pay homage to 1990’s IDM, similar to his previous single we covered released late last year “In The Light We Fall.” Inspired by long soul-searching nights experiencing intimate gatherings and outdoor music festivals,” JOY pulls from this fond memory to create something pulsing-ly celestial.

The almost 7-minute long journey through the “System of Life” takes you through a dark, almost meditative-like soundscape. Intertwining a sample from Alan Watts, highly regarded philosopher, the listener hears him speak about the origin of mathematics in humanity. What is the system of life? What is the true nature of life? Consider these questions while listening to the track below.

As mentioned above, the “System of Life” is the fourth single from his forthcoming album Soft Whispers. The album will be an eighty-minute long, twelve-track album experience

JOY began his music career on the piano at 10 years old, and once he dove into the world of synthesizers and mid sequencers, the rest was history. By the age of 14, he had already written over 50 songs as he continued to build his compositional skills. JOY’s official career under the alias is still continuing to bloom, so you’re going to want to keep him on your radar.
