Earlier today, Tuesday, June 6th, 2023, electronic music icon GRiZ announced that he will be taking a break from touring and the GRiZ project following one last show in October of this year.
In an Instagram post, Grant Kwiecinski AKA, GRiZ, discusses how he has been thinking about taking a break for a while and how he wants to spend more time working on his relationship with himself, family, and friends.
“I dropped out of college at 21 and moved to Colorado where I’ve been living now for 10+ years working nonstop..so I’m gonna make more time to nurture my relationship with myself and to my fam and friends that far too often I’ve ignored in place of my relationship with work.” – GRiZ
In the post, GRiZ mentions that his last show for the foreseeable future will be in October and that he has plans to announce a curated GRiZ show later this week, but it is unclear at the moment whether he’s talking about the same show.
“In regards to GRiZMAS, Space Camp, and NYE, those won’t be happening this or next year, and beyond that is still unknown.” – GRiZ
In addition to traveling and finding fresh inspiration, GRiZ also plans on using his time off to write music, so fans can rest assured that they have not heard the last of the beloved Denver producer who has won the hearts of so many.
