This may have been one of the biggest weekends of the year for new music. Jai Wolf is back, Rüfüs Du Sol and ZHU both dropped new singles, and we got a huge dose of bass music from Liquid Stranger, EPROM & ZEKE BEATS, and Bassnectar. While we tried to cover everything, some absolute fire tracks still slipped through the cracks, and I’m here to collect them for you.
Check out some of our other favorite new tracks from this week, and stream the entire playlist below.
DROELOE – The Choices We Face EP
DROELOE has been the shining star of San Holo’s birbird record label over the past year, and this EP shows why. Featuring 6 brand new songs, with “Looking Back” being the only previously released single, The Choices We Face is full of brand new future bass goodness.
Jenaux – My Friend
Jenaux made a name for himself with a steady stream of releases that blend classic funk sounds with current dance music, and “My Friend” is no exception. Featuring soulful and sultry vocals, buttery guitar riffs and punctuating synths, “My Friend” is the perfect package of future funk to get down to on dance floors or cruise to with the windows down.
Gorgon City – Escape LP
Gorgon City’s long-awaited second album is finally here, and it does not disappoint. Escape features previously released singles as well as a plethora of new tracks. Put this record on and dance through the night.
BROHUG – Be Somebody
This bass house track from BROHUG is one of my favorite releases of the massive weekend. Featuring impressive vocals, the track builds into a huge trap-inspired drop that’s inescapably fun and catchy.
KANDY – Stagnant
After releasing two impressive vogue house tracks, this mid-tempo inspired track sees KANDY return to his roots with his first bass heavy release in several months. “Stagnant” is the perfect example of KANDY’s versatility as a producer, showcasing his original sound and blending it with his new style.
Bro Safari ft UFO! – N.U.M.B
Bro Safari and UFO! are no strangers to working together. They’re back in action with a new single “N.U.M.B.” This is the first taste of their forthcoming album, Clockwork. The album is a journey through the artist’s personal musical influences with a splash of science fiction and space exploration. Bro Safari and UFO! unveil their new approach to bass music with a tour, set to hit intimate clubs across North America this fall.
Here are the rest of the heaters we are loving this week.
ARMNHMR – Leave it All (Feat Luma)
StayLoose – Mean to Me (ft ROZES)
Netsky – Tequila Limonada
Mystic Natives – Oh Love (ft. Justus Tams)
Fluencee – Foxgloves
These are just a few of the songs in the newest update to Freshly Picked Beats. Be sure to check out the Spotify playlist in its entirety below.
