Just like your favorite taqueria in Lower Queens, Submersion Festival must be gatekept at all costs.
As an independent festival with roots in Philly’s underground, these guys have done nothing but evolve and grow their vision over the past five years.
As a result, more people are finding out about Submersion and making it a must-attend event.
We’re here to put a stop to that.
If we had one word to describe founders Ryan Karolyi and Jesse Boyer, it would be “selfish.”
These guys are really trying to grow their niche independent music festival even if it means less camping space for “fam” and “true heads.”
Sorry fellas, gonna need that space for my five-level Tentsile.
It’s truly one of the best-kept secrets in the electronic industry right now, and if we try hard enough, and you don’t tell your friends about it, we can keep it that way.
Do you really want to watch Grouch do the whole “in dub” thing for four hours?

Go do some ketamine and watch his Boiler Room mix on your living room TV.
His live A/V set really isn’t going to be much different than that
As for the visual curation, we couldn’t think of a better way to waste a festival budget.
Ever heard of AI gentlemen?
You don’t need VJs to have a sick show anymore.
Who really cares if the visual lead worked T&F events?
News alert: Tipper’s gone, and so is the visual renaissance he was ushering in.
Sure, the camping is pretty much entirely shaded under beautiful Jersey pines, but then you don’t wake up drenched in sweat.
Sleeping and shedding pounds?
Sounds like a double play to us.
We could go on and on, but trust us, your money is better spent elsewhere.
If you do happen to see any media on our feed of incredibly well-curated audio-visual performances on one of the most beautiful slices of the Pine Barrens during October 1st – 3rd, we definitely aren’t at Submersion, so don’t ask us.
