We are now less than two weeks away from the start of the highly anticipated sixth annual BUKU Music + Art Project and excitement is building quickly. The official schedule has just been released and that means it’s time for festival goers to begin planning their schedules for March 10-11. The festival gates will open at 2 P.M. with the music, art, and festivities continuing until 1 A.M.
One highlight of this festival is the unique industrial vibe it carries. BUKU Music + Art Project is just that. A project, and therefore it is ever changing and allowing art and music to come into being of its own accord, inspired by its surroundings. Returning this year will be the Live Graffiti Gallery curated by Dogslobber. This year’s artists are ACHOO, AXE, DVOTE, FAT KIDS, Henry Kipkis, Kate Hanrahan, MEEK, Pat Phillips, SWAN, TASK, TRIAL, UTER, WOOLY, and SWEETALK. Each 8×10 panel that will be created and completed will be auctioned off at the end of the festival. The proceeds will directly benefit Animal Rescue New Orleans and Upbeat Academy.
If you haven’t already grabbed your GA or VIP passes (One Day passes are also available!) for this one-of-a-kind festival, they’re still available here:
