What So Not Working on Debut Album for 2017

After the release of his debut EP, Divide and ConquerWhat So Not – aka Emoh Instead (Chris Emerson) – has hit the festival scene running. As if Instead’s past work on the EP was not enough to put him on the map, the release of collaboration single “Waiting,” featuring big names Skrillex and RL Grime, was definitely the cherry on top and the ending to a spectacular year. This single has taken the music industry by storm and accumulated over 1.5 million views on Soundcloud.  There were multiple occasions and multiple artists that have included his songs in their sets; and in my opinion, that is the biggest achievement a DJ/producer could accomplish.

On December 8th, Instead officially announced via Twitter (super nonchalantly at 3 AM) the exciting news of working on a brand new debut album. While no other details about the release of this mystery debut album were released, we can definitely expect a product that is nothing less of amazing. For the past year, What So Not has taken the dance music scene by storm through his 2016 tour. On top of that, he has performed in top-notch festivals such as Coachella, Ultra, and Lollapalooza. There is nothing that this man cannot accomplish and we feel that Emoh Instead will bring some major heat into 2017.
