Following her debut XXIX EP, Brisbane-based vocalist and songwriter Wafia entrances us with her latest solo track “83 Days”. Initially premiered on Triple J’s Good Night with Linda Marigliano, “83 Days” is a track about love lost that expresses Wafia’s progression through pensive remorse.
The track is set to be featured on her forthcoming EP via Future Classic later this year.
“This song comes after someone I love wouldn’t stay. I developed an obsession with noting down the ways their absence was so loud and present.”
Can we expect work from her like we have seen in the recent past?
83 Days is the follow-up to her (m)edian EP, also released on Future Classic, and featured fellow label mate and collaborator Ta-ku.
Continuing where she left off, Wafia’s upcoming EP release has us all eager to hear her vocal prowess on more upcoming records. Our hopes are very high for her upcoming release and we cannot wait to see what she has in store for us!
