Check out our favorite new tracks from the past week, and stream the entire playlist below.

Polartropica – In Another Life

New artist Polartropica integrates 90’s pop, classical arrangements and intergalactic space-pop, for a sound that’s as unique as it is catchy. Stream her newest track below, as well as the incredible music video that accompanies it.

In the LGBTQ world, a popular slogan we use is “Love is Love” and I wanted to take a deeper dive into that.  I’ve always felt that, as humans we are all so interconnected, and sometimes we can even feel or have a bond with someone that we’ve never met before or come from a completely different religion, culture or upbringing”. – Polartropica

Shogun – Black & Gold

Black & Gold is a unique project from trance artist Shogun, displaying his versatile production capabilities. The ‘Black’ side of the LP is comprised of Shogun’s trademark club-primed anthems, while the ‘Gold’ side offers a combination of introspective, emotional and dialed back records, including our favorite track “Lucky Strikes”.

Eli & Fur – Into The Night

House duo Eli & Fur make their return to Ajunadeep with “Into The Night”, an atmospheric vocal track.

“Sometimes you find yourself shutting off and making excuses about why not to connect with how you feel on an emotional level. Taking the plunge into something different to your usual routine is incredibly liberating. ‘Into The Night’ is about that feeling, stepping into the unknown and embracing something you never knew you needed” – Eli & Fur

Bósa – Sakura Samurai

LA-based duo Bósa fuses the sounds of the Far East with the ingenuity of contemporary house music in their latest track. Integrating their own original vocals with a wide variety of live instrumentation such as Japanese Shamisen, Turkish Doumbek, African Djembe, Cabasa, Cowbells, and the brass section of an orchestra, Bósa has crafted something truly unique.

Raiden – The Only (ft IRENE of Red Velvet)

Electro-pop meets K-Pop in this collaboration between Korean producer Raiden and singer IRENE from K-Pop girl group Red Velvet. While the song is mostly in Korean, it will have you on the dancefloor regardless of your native language.

Moon Boots – Juanita (ft Kaleena Zanders)

“Kaleena’s voice is so incredible and her energy is so infectious. You just have to see it to believe it.”  “I’m amazed thinking back on the session that turned into “Juanita”. It was late at night and our sober daytime sessions had morphed into a full-blown party. Kaleena was saying “I need aerobics” over and over while I was messing around on an SH-101. I asked if she could change it to “Juanita hold me.” It shouldn’t work but it just does. I’m so grateful it was all recorded because it could have been a moment in time we laughed about and half-remembered.  This is one of the club tracks I am most proud of, and none of it would be possible without Kaleena’s unstoppable energy and talent. – Moon Boots

PLS&TY – Run Wild / Feeling Forever (The Remixes)

Rising future bass star PLS&TY handpicked the artists for his remix EP, and he couldn’t have done a better job. A talented and diverse crew of artists including DUCKY, YehMe2, and Bondax put their own spins on his 2017 breakout track “Run Wild” as well as his new single “Feeling Forever”.

Half An Orange – Sunscreen

“Sunscreen” is summer music at its chillest. Ohio duo Half An Orange deliver meaningful songwriting through organic instrumental melodies, breezy soundscapes and positive lyrics.

Kill Paris – Played Out (ft Dutch Robinson)

We love Kill Paris for his glitchy style of electro-funk, and for his newest song he’s enlisted the legendary Ohio Players singer Dutch Robinson. Funky and incredibly catchy, “Played Out” is an instant classic.

Super Future & MeSo – Chromatose

“We started bouncing some crazy ideas off each other in 2018 when I first found Kevin’s music. I’ve had the chance to get to know him through a few shows we’ve played together and he’s someone who I think has some of the most originality in the trap/bass/free-form movement. I felt like it only made sense to send him some of my weirdest ideas, so I shot him over this idea where I was experimenting with metallic, arpeggiating, ringing sounds that are very prevalent in the main synth. Kevin put his own twist on the sounds I sent over and perfectly captured that weird, stretched out vibe in a way that no other artist could have.” – Super Future

Nora En Pure – Pure Remixes Vol 1

The Queen of Deep House is back with a two-track remix EP. Passenger 10 transforms “Come With Me” into an enchanting deep bass club track, while Daniel Portman goes the opposite direction, taking the piano hook from “Polynesia” and turning it into the perfect sunrise track.

LOVER – Starving

“Starving” is a jazzy, grooving track that seamlessly borders R&B and lounge music with smooth vocals that are both catchy and relatable.

“Lyrically I was thinking about music and the struggle in pursuing, not being able to afford groceries – the classic starving artist cliché. The lyric I’m starving in front of friends, but they eat anyway” is meant to be a personal aphorism; that even if I’m doing all this artist stuff, my friends and family deep down don’t really care – so don’t take it too seriously and just have fun with it. I get so stressed and anxious about stuff that in the end no one really cares about, and won’t matter.– LOVER

These are just a few of the songs in the newest update to Freshly Picked Beats. Be sure to check out the Spotify playlist in its entirety below.
