Thutmose and NoMBe Deliver on Collaborative EP ‘Run Wild’ [Listen]

This past week has been filled with incredible releases, tour announcements, and surprises from many of our favorite artists. There’s one release, however, that might have flown under your radar. The Th3rd Brain pair Thutmose and Nombe released a collaborative EP, titled Run Wild, and we can’t get enough.

The six-song EP features upbeat summer tracks and lyrical heat from Thutmose and NoMBe, two rising artists who have gotten major nods over the past year. The title track “Run Wild” was featured as the anthem for EA Sports’ FIFA World Cup 2018 trailer, garnering millions of streams from across the globe. Building on the success of last summer’s hit, aptly titled “Summer’s Gone”, the two paired up for the EP with NoMBe stating:

“About a year ago, I met one of the most talented artists I ever had the pleasure of working with. Within the first few hours of meeting Thutmose, he and I wrote our first single Summer’s Gone and many more soon after. It’s rare for me to meet an artist that I’m this comfortable writing with, so when the idea of doing an entire rap EP came up, I immediately started putting together a handful of tracks. Today, I’m beyond proud to share this body of work – the Run Wild EP – with y’all.”

The release falls on the heels of NoMBe’s debut album, “They Might’ve Even Loved Me“, which was released this past March. “Run Wild” is incredibly diverse, showcasing a range of sounds from rock to dreamy hip hop from the duo and producer KillaGraham. While short and sweet at just seventeen minutes, “Run Wild” reminds us to soak up every last minute before “Summer’s Gone”.
