Soukii, Chef Boyarbeatz, & Neumonic Sign Off 2024 w/ Black Box Takeover

As we wave goodbye to a tremendous year in electronic music, there’s one trend not going anywhere anytime soon –  UK Garage.

The subgenre has risen to prominence with a set of new twists, one of which is the surge in the US with artists such as Neumonic, Soukii, and Chef Boyarbeatz taking the lead. These three hybrid selectors will be playing a show at the legendary Black Box in Denver on December 28th which will conclude their most successful years to date respectively as artists.

The trio decided that it only makes sense for them to wrap up the year together as they proudly look back at the trail they helped blaze.

LA native Joey Koppenheffer, aka Chef Boyarbeatz, enjoyed a phenomenal 2024 with performances at Infrasound, Submersion, Untz, and a Red Rocks debut. One of Deep Dark & Dangerous’ all-stars with further ties to sub.mission, he’s moved to Denver and quickly grown his music and brand.

The Black Box has a history of throwing consecutive nights of epic shows at the end of every year, and it starts at the top with Chef’s ability and versatility as an artist, producing and mixing bass, 140, and DnB. We’re shown that he is capable of much more than just UKG (and does it really well). The only thing left to say as fans fire up their own enthusiasm would be, to “Let him cook!” Chef dropped a pretty hilarious and nostalgic promo for the show, check it out here:

Santa Cruz-based Nick Neumann, aka Neumonic, has adopted his own successful strides as a pacemaker for UKG. We saw him accelerate his career tremendously in 2024 with performances at The Untz, Lightning in a Bottle, a Black Box debut, and a tour with Mary Droppinz. Furthermore, he released his debut EP, This One’s Nawty, on Enigma Dubz’s Morii Records. As if the project didn’t turn enough heads, it had remixes done by Ternion Sound, Enigma Dubz, Wraz and Die by the Sword. We’ll be treated to see Neumonic play an additional solo set at the Black Box, because why not?

Hailing from St. Petersburg, Soukii had a massive influence on the 2024 UKG scene. Through his performances this year at Untz, Submersion, Hulaween, and III Points, we’re reminded that USUKG is not just a West Coast contrivance, but a country-wide one. Soukii and Neumonic headed a Garage Access takeover at Untz this year, so we’re exuberant to see their reunion. Together they will be returning to the Untz this year with an exceptional lineup behind them.

You won’t want to miss this show as the 3 always deliver insane sets by themselves, but when they come together, it’s a riot. Their collective proclivity emphasizes that USUKG isn’t just a 2024 entity, but one that’ll stick around for years to come.
