Snails Releases First Visual From ‘Slime Time’ EP [Watch]

Following the release of his highly-anticipated SLIME TIME EP after a year-long hiatus, Canadian bass music artist SNAILS just released a cinematic music video for the project’s single, “FROGKIND.”

SNAILS’ new 3-track ‘SLIME TIME‘ EP released earlier this month marked a return to the international DJ and producer’s musical roots — the metal-inspired sub-genre he created and his fans dubbed “Vomitstep.” The project followed a year-long hiatus of introspection and honing in of his production techniques, which coincided with a complete rebranding with more musical storytelling and a visual update.

The beautifully-animated live-action music video for “FROGKIND” puts this new branding on display as it shows the scary story of a girl waking up from a bad dream and follows her through the forest as she runs from as giant, interdimensional space frogs and snails. She seemingly begins transforming and being taken over by the gruesome amphibians but then wakes up from the dream….so it appears. Check out what Snails has to say about the video below and watch the thrilling visual above.

“The FROGKIND music video has been such an awesome project to work on with Neoliptus. I think it’s important to mention it is his first music video as well so a LOT of effort has been put into the FX and the story side from both of us. It’s really exciting to finally show the result. It’s really oriented toward the VFX world with the capacity of Noe [Neoliptus], we’ve exploited the crazy and weird part of what we both could do. The video really captures the weirdness of the core of the song itself. It brings the watcher through an exciting experience and an audiovisual adventure”SNAILS
