Grammy-nominated duo SMLE return with a vivacious new single featuring rising pop artist Ella Poletti.
SMLE has unveiled a stunning new pop-electronic collaboration titled “Counting Down,” marking the first release from their newly announced Chasing Channels EP.
The duo take a minimalist approach to production at key points in the track, leaving room for key elements to shine. Vocalist Ella Poletti lends vocals on the track, playfully weaving her tale of longing through the gently grooving chords. Drum fills and high hats accent the beat, giving center stage to the rising arpeggiators and Poletti’s captivating hook.
“Counting Down” is bouncy and lighthearted, making for one of the more amusing tracks we’ve heard this year. After a rather ominous intro, the track’s warm melodies tie together for pop perfection.
