RL Grime is having one hell of a 2018. The producer released his highly anticipated debut album NOVA this summer, and steadily headlined festival after festival since.
And while RL continues his dominance, another young trap prodigy is also having a glorious run. That talent is none other than Hawaiian producer graves. His debut EP Hilo was one of the top Trap EP’s of 2017, which represents the direction of where trap music is headed moving into the future. The two even worked together on a few tracks from NOVA, with graves joining along as support on Grime’s NOVA tour.
So it makes sense that both artists were ready to collab on a new single. The real question was when would this happen? RL Grime hinted at the collab in his Halloween Mix VII, but today we finally got to see it live. RL dropped the ridiculous unreleased collab last night in Melbourne titled “Never Let Go.” The song starts with some vocal chops and leads right into that cinematic feel that both artists mastered.
We can’t wait for this one to drop; but for now, enjoy it below thanks to some friends on Reddit!
