If you’re an avid follower of trap music, then you know the popular trap subreddit r/trap is the place to find new music, new artists, and a strong community of trap lovers. The subreddit grew to over 90k members over the past few years, and is one of the best communities for dance music.
Each and every year, the subreddit creates a large poll for its users and picks winners for the “r/trap awards:” a list highlighting the best of the best in trap each year. Last year, Boombox Cartel,graves, Skrillex, Flume, and KRANE took home the honors. For 2018, the awards list drastically changed.
Newcomers TYNAN, G Jones, and Ekali highlight the list. G Jones take top honors as trap’s artist of the year, while Ekali gets the nod for best EP. What So Not took home best album of the year. You can see the full results below!
