Pedestrian Tactics Drops Computer-Programming Inspired 'Nerds Trying to Dance' [Premiere]

Making his debut on Mat Zo‘s label MAD ZOO is Pedestrian Tactics, formerly known as Corporate. His fresh electronic sound is characterized by chopped samples and industrial undertones as he makes his mark, one that is heard in his EP, out everywhere today, and the title track “Nerds Trying to Dance.” The Seattle-based artist has received support from the likes of Porter Robinson, Zomboy, and Xilent as he continues to present his fresh take on electronic music.

Give it a listen below:

“The prompt for ‘Nerds Trying To Dance’ began with a tweet from a programmer who was listening to one of my tracks during a coding session. I realized I hadn’t designed the track for coding, “But what would happen if I did?” For the last year I dove into programming-inspired niches and eventually learned to write a bit of Swift, C#, and JavaScript asa result. The EP itself makes use of plenty of programmatic scales contrasted by explorative accidental sounds.”
