Osmosis Jones is bringing a little Australian UKG flavor to Gorgon City’s REALM Records. The Melbourne producer makes his debut on the label with “Rockin’ With The Best.”
Rooted in the swing and groove of UK garage, the release draws on the sounds that have shaped Jones’ approach: classic ’90s and ’00s influences, plenty of bass, and a focus on getting people moving. For Jones, the response on the dancefloor helped confirm he had something worth sharing.
“Just a big bassy fun one for the clubs and subs,” he says. “Seeing the crowd reaction to this one made me know I had a party starter on my hands.”
After showing the track to Gorgon City, the duo found a home for it on REALM, adding another label to a growing catalog. Jones has been steadily building a name within Australia’s UK garage scene, with his productions earning support from Interplanetary Criminal, Main Phase, Sammy Virji, Silva Bumpa, Dr. Dubplate, and Prozak. His releases have also passed one million Spotify streams, helping introduce his sound to listeners well beyond Australia.
Alongside appearances at Pitch Music & Arts Festival and Beyond The Valley, Jones has toured Australia, spent three months performing across the UK and Europe, and made appearances on Rinse FM and New York’s The Lot Radio.
