The 2024 Red Rocks season comes to an end with two nights of music from Of the Trees and an all-star cast of support artists. With the original dates getting pushed back due to the snow conditions, many are feverishly awaiting these shows, especially to round out a successful 2024 card at the legendary venue.
Tyler Coombs, known to many as Of The Trees, is headlining his second straight year of Red Rocks concerts. Now a Colorado resident, we locals have been fortunate to see his illustrious rise in a matter of a couple of years. From headlining the Ogden, to a sold-out Mission Ballroom, and now two nights of incoming Red Rocks shows.
Another Massive Year For Of The Trees
Coombs, whom many of us fans refer to as our favorite “Tree Boy,” has already enjoyed a massive 2024 so far. A 2024 list of festivals and shows include his headlining of Sound Haven, another beautiful sunrise set at Shambhala, and announcing his biggest tour to date, Moonglade which is set to kick off at Red Rocks.
Of The Trees makes his presence known in underground bass music through his psychedelic and experimental style, and has distinctively pushed his style through ethereal and organic textures with nasty basslines. A Runescape connoisseur himself, his style resonates particularly with nature aficionados and Runescape fans alike. He distinguishes himself as a pioneer of “forest bass” or nature-themed bass music, whether that be a jungle, a desert, or the mountains of his residing state, Colorado.
Fans frequently claim his music has a sentimental and mutative essence, which provokes self-recognition and inspection due to its deep and otherworldly components. His 2023 release, Feral, showcases his ability to push his style progressively while also continuing to preserve his sophisticated patterns of basslines and nature elements. Furthermore, his sets have become extremely popular due to their nature of becoming “journeys” themselves, his versatility and mixing skills as a DJ, and his tendency to play unreleased music.
Incredible Supporting Cast
As he did last year, Of the Trees is bringing an all-star cast of openers, which furthermore shows his ear for other up-and-coming artists. Night 1 will contain the likes of Mindchatter, who has enjoyed a rise to prominence of his own, Anna Morgan, Posij, Sylph, and the highly anticipated Resonant Language who will be joined by the staggering DR01D Visuals. As if that undercard was not hefty enough, night 2 will include Emancipator, Goopsteppa, Of The Trees’ BLAAP comrade Freddy Todd, and Denver’s own Chef Boyarbeatz.
And in case you missed it, Of The Trees Just announced the full dates for the Moonglade Tour. The tour features a support conglomerate of extremely talented artists, including Detox Unit, Opiuo, Eazybaked, Distinct Motive, Saka, Ternion Sound, and others. With 37 total stops spanning all across the country, kicking off at Red Rocks this weekend, and concluding in Atlanta on March 1st, it is sure to dazzle both older and new fans alike from regions all over the US.
Nigth one kicks off Saturday, November 16 at 5:15 pm. Night Two kicks off Sunday, November 17 at 5:10 pm. With the strong assembly of openers, make sure to get there in time! While night 1 is sold out, don’t miss out on the magic and get tickets to night 2 now!
