Los Angeles-based producer duo MANAWARI are back with their second stunning single “Apophenia” from their new artist project, and we’re happy to bring you the first listen.
Following the release of their glitchy and shimmering debut “333”, rising duo MANAWARI today bring to light their latest single “Apophenia“.
On “Apophenia”, the track’s intricate melodies and neatly arranged vocal chops mix over a gentle guitar phrase. The intensity of the synths grow to reveal pulsating percussion and a bouncy final section to remind you that “Aphophenia” is two parts introspection, one part pure fun — the perfect recipe for the indie electronic outfit.
Inspired by the human tendency to see connections and patterns that are not really “there”, the duo explains,
We practice faith and spirituality with MANAWARI; as such, we know that the universe works in a mysterious and abundant way. So with “Apophenia,” we aimed to share how magical it feels when we passionately express ourselves as musicians. From demo to final master, this record evolved significantly into the version we have today. The various stories, emotions, and past experiences that shaped “Apophenia” make us smile and feel good so we truly hope this also resonates with our listeners.
