Almost one year after his hit EP Setup premiered on Psycho Disco, Lux Groove is back on the label with another two-track thumper.
Dropped yesterday on the Atlanta label, the Down With It EP features Lux‘s signature smooth house and breakbeat sound. Featuring an old school vibe with a modern twist, this release is sure to impress the most critical of house heads.
Title track “Down With It” kicks it off with funky, full synths and a chunky bass line. Accented by traditional house percussion and a distorted vocal sample, this A-side hitter does not disappoint. On the flip-side, “Lowend” is a sultry groove with airy layers of bubbling breaks. Chopping vocals and heavy bass even out the record, making it an ultimate breakbeat masterpiece.

About Lux Groove
Born in a small town in Connecticut, Marc Trojanowski, a.k.a. Lux Groove’s love for music blossomed at an early age. After receiving his first set of turntables as a teenager, he taught himself how to DJ. Pulling heavy influence from turntablists like Jazzy Jeff, A-trak, Craze, and Qbert, Lux fully immersed himself into the scene. Not long after, he was entering local DJ battles and even tried his hand at the DMC World DJ Championships.
As the years passed, Lux explored other genres, which eventually led him to house music. Inspired by the Dirtybird sound, specifically Justin Martin, he started his producing career. Shortly after, Lux signed his first EP From The Back with Worthy‘s Anabatic imprint. In just a few years, he has signed with Dirtybird, Country Club Disco, This Ain’t Bristol, Perfect Driver and many more. Also notable, Lux has played alongside Kill Frenzy, Mark Starr, Christian Martin and various other impressive artists.
