Bass baron Lookas and rising producer Edison Cole just released their heavy and haunting new collaboration “Voodoo.”
Lookas makes his 2019 debut with his newest single “Voodoo“, tapping Boston-born producer Edison Cole for the bass-heavy collaboration. “Voodoo” packs an alarming punch, opening with soul-stirring vocal samples and intense leads that set the stage for an eerie journey. The track shifts chaotically through the build, delivering a monstrous drop with screaming leads.
For folks who caught The Chainsmokers’ live stream from Ultra Music Festival 2019, this one should sound familiar. The single served as the opening hammer for the megastars’ jaw-dropping UMF headlining set. After a mystifying intro, the duo turned up the energy with “Voodoo” around the 2:45 mark, making for a riotous first drop.
The track marks both artists’ second efforts with The Chainsmokers’ support. Before the collab came to fruition, Lookas and Edison Cole both notched features earlier this year in The Chainsmokers’ Nice Hair mix series.
