Out via Deadbeats is the newest from Kid Froopy, a cinematic new single “New in Town.” “New in Town” is a peek into his debut LP Silver Slipper, which will be out Spring 2020. Being his first release since 2017, the track is a satisfying cinematic combination of both melodic and cinematic, a blasting ballad showcasing Froopy’s own singing, writing, and producing talents.
After his last release in 2017, Froopy moved to Los Angeles. The single reflects his time moving to LA and the “isolated loneliness of a big city and all the contrasting beauty and ugliness that comes with it.” Anyone that has moved recently can feel the emotion in his voice, and know that moving somewhere new, especially somewhere as big as LA, is never easy.
