Indie singer-songwriter Jillian Lake is here with the final single before her big debut album release. Her ethereal stripped-down vocals shine with the twinkling backdrop to “Walk All Over You,” which was released this past Friday, October 16.
Pulling inspiration from other indie female powerhouse artists like Maggie Rogers and Phoebe Bridges, Lake sets the tone for what listeners can expect for her upcoming release: a radiant blend of lyrical poetry and catchy melodies.

According to Lake, “Walk All Over You” was written “from the perspective of all the people and situations that have taken advantage of my softness and compassion.” In the track, she pulled inspiration from Animal Planet as a little tongue in cheek wordplay, “playing with the metaphors of the jungle and the food chain.”
