Some records announce an artist’s arrival. Others announce their evolution. For Tampa producer HEXED, “How Does It Feel” is the latter: a record shaped by refinement rather than reinvention.
Instead of chasing momentum, HEXED focused on tightening the sound, figuring out what belonged, cutting what didn’t, and building a world around the project that finally felt authentic.
Now, that objective has been accomplished in the form of a grand return.
“How Does It Feel,” produced by HEXED and BASSBABE, brings together two worlds that don’t always share the same room: heavy bass music and West Coast hip-hop.
Featuring legendary rapper Casey Veggies, the track doesn’t treat the vocal as an accessory or a marketing move. It feels intentional, like every piece was designed to exist together. The result is a dark, futuristic record built around impact. It carries the weight of an artist who has spent years refining his craft and waiting for the right moment to show where he’s headed.

HEXED has always operated in the space between rap energy and bass-heavy production. This record pushes that idea further, connecting the intensity of a dubstep set with the attitude of a late-night drive.
With analog mastering from Punching Dolphins and visuals created by Michael Askew, “How Does It Feel” arrives as HEXED continues expanding both his live presence and his studio vision.
