Let’s take it back to Atlanta, Georgia circa 2009: A young Hayden Kramer is operating a small recording studio out of his mother’s basement, with the goal of bringing in young rap producers and creating some world-class beats for Atlanta’s hip hop scene. Fast-forward to present day and you’ll see Hayden aka Herobust touring internationally, selling out world class venues, and headlining major festivals. With endless hard work and dedication to his craft, Hayden Kramer has made a worldwide name for himself in the electronic music scene.
Over the past six years, a new genre has emerged within the electronic dance community and created a wave of Southern-style electronica that has swept across the country and even now breaking through into parts of Europe and other nations. The origins of this sound come from popular southern rap artists like Outkast, Three 6 Mafia, 8Ball & MJG, “Trap” has taken the country by storm. As the electronic music scene began to explode within the U.S, big name Trap artists such as Diplo, RL Grime, Baauer, and Flosstradamus, started getting booked as the main headlining acts on huge festival lineups.
As trap gained national attention, the transition from laying down heavily trap-influenced southern beats to producing electronic-based hip-hop sounds people had never heard before, Hayden came in determined to make his mark as a professional producer.
In a recent interview with Traptastic Voyage, Hayden stated, “when this all started happening, it was kind of perfect, all the Atlanta producers began to blow-up. This was mother’s milk for us. And look what happened, Atlanta became a hotbed.”
Hayden has emerged as one of the biggest stars in the trap industry, laying down some of the filthiest sounds known to man. Such tracks as “Skurt Reynolds”, “Dirty Work” and “SHEKNOWSHEBAD” are festival-level bangers that have Herobust’s signature sound, a sound he labels as “Busted”. Along with his original productions, Herobust has “Busted” multiple tracks with some of the biggest names in both the rap and EDM world.
