George Michael Dead at 53: Stars Pay Tribute To Pop Superstar

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of British pop star George Michael, a singer/songwriter known for his best-selling works, “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and “Faith”.  According to BBC News, the police have reported no suspicious circumstances, and his publicist has released a statement that states the singer died peacefully at his home in Oxford, England over the Christmas holiday.

Michael was a pop icon for the majority of the late 80’s and 90’s, having sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Billboard magazine ranks him among the best-selling acts of all time, and number 40 in the ranks of the 100 most successful artists to ever live.

This news comes at the worst of times. 2016 has been a hard year fraught with artist passings. The entertainment world will be heavily affected by this news. Stars have already taken to social media to express their emotions on the matter:
