Gather Outdoors 2026 Survival Guide

Gather Outdoors 2026 Survival Guide

Gather Outdoors

Breaking news – those stories and posts you’re seeing of people partying on snowcapped mountains out west are not AI. They’re real.

Which is hard to believe as an East Coast snow sports and dance party enthusiast. The reason being because we don’t have anything like that out here.

That is, until Gather Outdoors, a two-day festival at Stratton Mountain in Vermont, made its glorious return.

Gather Outdoors

If you’re gonna be there this weekend, here are a couple tips to make sure you have the best time possible ➡️

Get a Tune Up

This late in the season, conditions aren’t exactly mint, so we highly recommend you get your board/skis waxed and sharpened before heading out. The nice folk at First Run Ski Shop, at the base of the mountain, can get it done for you, but you can save a couple of bucks if you hit a mom & pop shop where you live or on the way.

Never Say No to the Afters

Whether it’s at your hotel, AirBnb, cabin, or the base lodge, never say no to the afters. Catch DJ Brownie, Ruthie Bandit, and Dave Morris tearing it up at Grizzly’s from 11PM-2AM Saturday night and Ranger Trucco and Coopy closing down shop Sunday night.

Navigation

While the Main Stage and Tekksupport Stage are within a short walking distance of eachother, you’ll need to take the chairlift or gondola to the Mid Mountain stage. That means you’ll need a lift ticket, which is not included as part of your festival pass. As for Grizzly’s, where the opening party and afters are taking place, you can find it in the base lodge on the east side of the mountain.

Take it Easy

If you’re not an experienced rider and you’ve spent the day getting banged up, take it easy on the slopes. Stratton’s got one of the best ski schools in the state, so it’s a great opportunity to get your game up while you’re out there.

Get Outside

If you’re going to Gather Outdoors this weekend, and you have the means to get a lift ticket, definitely try to get out on the mountain, even if it’s to ride the gondola or go tubing. This being said, remember to bare in mind our previous suggestion. We need you in one piece to party.

Get Inside

We get it. Some of us like the indoors more than the outdoors. And that’s ok, especially at a place like Stratton, which has plenty of stuff to do in temperature-regulated environments, including rock climbing, arcade games, bars/restaurants, and plenty of shopping around the village.

Pack Sunscreen

While we might not be at the beach, the rays can get pretty mean on Stratton Mountain, especially with how much sun reflects off the snow. Listen to your momma, pack some sunscreen.

Respect Your Surroundings

While Stratton is no stranger to partygoers and après bangers, this is one of the bigger festivals they’ve hosted. That means things might be getting a little more rowdy than usual. So make sure to be respectful to staff (and each other), don’t trash your rental, be mindful of families/kids, and have a good attitude. If we want Gather to happen in 2026, we gotta leave a good impression.
