5 Can’t-Miss Artists at Gather Outdoors

Gather Outdoors

The level of jealousy and FOMO that I’ve developed over the past few winters is unhealthy. And it’s all because some of the sickest Après ski parties and mountainside festivals have been out of reach.

Don’t get me wrong – a nice beach (shot out Submersion), a lush forest, and even a sketchy warehouse are all great places to enjoy some fresh-pressed plates.

But a snowy mountain? After a day carvin’ pow w/ your crü? On the EAST COAST??? Now you’re speaking my language.

When Gather Outdoors announced their return, taking place at Stratton, Vermont, it was hard to believe. The lineup was stacked, the location was mint, and the timing, although a little late in the season, lined up well.

So we’re making moves.

Catch River Beats Dance getting down across Stratton proper this weekend, with the following acts at the top of our must-see list.

Adam Ten

Adam Ten

Maneuvering through multiple subgenres of house, from afro to organic, Adam Ten lassos dancefloors with motion similar to a groove-crazed bull rider. As one of Gather’s house-focused headliners, you can catch him closing out the Teksupport stage Saturday night.

CamelPhat

CamelPhat

As the second headliner holding down the Teksupport Stage, CamelPhat is one of the most legendary duos to come out of the tech house scene. With a sound that has grown from fundamental to hauntingly cinematic, deeply emotional, and increasingly atmospheric, a CamelPhat set unravels like a journey through space and time.

Daily Bread

Daily Bread

Snow sports enthusiast and former pro wakeboarder, Daily Bread, makes beats you can board to, intentionally designed for the mountain. Catch him getting down at Sunset on Sunday Afternoon.

Of The Trees

Of The Trees

Capable of channeling the heartbeat of the outdoors into highly technical bass-forward compositions, Of The Trees wields standout performance skills and a trademark sound that stands in a pocket of its own. From the days of Threshold up to the recent release of Moonglade Park, this is an artist who constantly evolves.

The Disco Biscuits

The Disco Biscuits
The first time I saw the Biscuits was on a mountain (RIP Camp Bisco), so we have no doubt they’ll execute at Gather. Playing not one, but three sets, including Tractorbeam (EDM forward set), Powered Down (chill, acoustic set), and an original set, the boys will be dosing us with a little bit of everything this weekend.
