Five May Dance Festivals That Should Be On Your Radar Right Now

The return to the festival season is almost complete! This past week saw Ubbu Dubbi lead the charge as one of the first festivals back in the EDM space since COVID. As we move to the summer months, there are several May festivals happening that are preparing us for a memorable return to life as we know it. See our top 5 May festivals that should be on your radar right now!


1.) Dirtybird Camp(Inn)Avanti Palms Resort, Orlando, Florida, May 14th- 17th, 2021

Dirtybird is putting a twist on its campy shenanigans inclusive Avanti Palms Resort in Orlando, Florida. DJs will be playing poolside sets where fans will have rooms side-stage. Loaded with activities such as the “Florida Man Game Show”, comedy, talent show, blackjack, the Great Bingo revival, and friendly competitions between teams should be a fun time all around!

2.) Seismic Dance Event 3.3Austin, Texas, May 21st – 23rd, 2021

RealMusicEvents ushers in the safe return of festival season with one of House and Techno boutique festivals in North America is back for Seismic Dance Event 3.3 in Austin, Texas. Lava~Level Techno throws down from the Volcano stage, and a storm of the coolest house acts on the Tsunami Stage.  After-Parties will be going late with John Summit, Nicole Moudaber, and others are icing on the cake.

3.) River of Lost SoulsTico Time ResortAztec, New Mexico, May 20th-22nd, 2021             

River of Souls is a brand new festival featuring a mix of all kinds of sounds and art guaranteed to make a splash with three-day music, arts, camping(car, tent, RV) festival located at the Tico Time River Resort in Aztec, New Mexico. The resort has amazing attractions such as ziplines, a river through the middle, three ponds with beaches, a 130-foot waterslide, frisbee golf, glamping, family-friendly activities, a dog park too!

4.) Micro-Movement – Detroit, Michigan, May 28th – 31st, 2021

Techno-Christmas makes a comeback after being canceled earlier this year, Paxacha Presents is throwing a micro-version of the event returning to take place in the birthplace of Techno – Detroit, Michigan.  Micro-Movement takes its place, Boasting all local Detroit artists, day to night events, spread throughout various venues {TV Lounge, Magic Stick, and Spot Life) throughout multiple days with limited capacity and masks required.  It will also be live-streaming all weekend on paxachau.tv


5.) Lightning In a Bottle (Digital)Twitch, May 29th -30th,  2021

Last year Lightning in a Bottle pivoted from a camping festival to a streaming digital festival with workshops, music, and entertainment in between. Recreated using the  Unreal gaming Engine to rebuild fan-favorite stages like the Woogie and the Thunder Stage, fans can boogie safely from the comfort of their own couches.
