UK-based producer Duskus just dropped an uplifting summer smash with his new single ‘Rising’.
During San Holo’s legendary slo-mo DJ set at Digital Mirage a few weeks back, the bitbird frontman shouted out Duskus and plugged his upcoming track “Rising”. Today, the feel-good house tune is out on bitbird and marks the first single from Duskus’s upcoming EP Rising.
The track’s uplifting vocal topline from singer-songwriter JONES perfectly compliments the acoustic pop-influenced verses. Duskus transitions the track towards an exuberant and quirky house drop, as he explains,
“The inspiration behind this single for me was to try and create something unique, but still listenable. Something that people can enjoy and understand even though it’s something new. When working on this EP, a lot of my focus was into sound design which is something new to me. I realized that the sound of something can actually evoke emotion, and I wanted to focus as much attention on this as I could.”

The single follows Duskus’s breakout collaboration “Be There One More Time” with Taska Black and his 2019 Foreign Family EP In Retrospect. We’ll be jamming this new tune on repeat as we look forward to Duskus’s EP Rising, due this summer on bitbird.
