Crywolf Goes Acoustic on 'your joy is your sorrow unmasked' [Listen]

While in Bali working on pt. 2 of his album widow [OBLIVION pt. 1], Crywolf has decided to explore a more thoughtful, acoustic path of music. In his first original release since his early 2019 album widow [OBLIVION pt. 1], “your joy is your sorrow unmasked” explores heartbreak with melancholy vocals and equally as woeful acoustic instrumentation. Crywolf continues to push the boundaries of being confined within one single genre.

Listen to “your joy is your sorrow unmasked” below:

“I wrote this song the first time I tried to imagine her and couldn’t quite picture her face. It felt like a sort of second of death for the relationship; a sign that I had truly grown into a completely different form, one that had never touched her skin. She had become a stranger to me.”

– Crywolf

Over the summer, Crywolf released a 15-track remix album to his widow [OBLIVION pt. 1] album which he dubbed the Oblivion [REIMAGINED] series. The series saw revamped version of tracks from artists across the electronic music sphere. Chicago-based producer Mielo kicked things off with his remix to “DRIP,” and also saw remixes from Ian Munro, Last Heroes, and more.
