With winter on the horizon, the incoming cold weather hitting Colorado is sure to spur the need for warm clothing and warm meals alike. The recent cuts in funding to the SNAP program, along with growing concerns for low-income families and individuals, have led to an urgent need to assist the communities impacted the most.
To lend a hand, and help alleviate some of the struggles being faced by members of the community, Denver-based 3420, will be hosting a food & clothing drive alongside their debut headline at Larimer Lounge in Denver, CO.
3420 (Three for Twenty) is an instrumental bass trio that brings listeners through a continuous musical journey. Their sets typically blend instrumental improv with electronic genres, all while maintaining their own original style. Their knack for engaging audiences of every variety, including the jam band community, bass heads, guitar nerds, and of course, electronic fans, has ushered a bright and organic rise to success. The diverse appeal has led to several performances with a melting pot of jam & bass artists, including Michael Menert, Sunsquabi, Papadosio, Lotus, Dirtwire, Lespecial, and others.
The trio will be joined by other Denver-based artists, including Eliptek+, who is coming off a spectacular set at Cervantes opening for Marvel Years, and Samso, who performed at Pretty Lights‘ Yahn Dawn in Buena Vista earlier this year.
Denver-based VJ wizard, Psybernautics, will be slinging pixels throughout the night as well. Mindbeam Productions will also be joining the team to bring additional eye-candy for patrons to enjoy. Lastly, there will be several special surprise guests sitting in throughout the night. As if doing a clothin and food drive isn’t enough, you won’t want to miss this stacked conglomerate of artists and visual talent.
Good Deeds for and From the People of Denver
The event will encourage attendees to bring cold-weather clothing as part of a clothing drive for The Gathering Place in Denver. Furthermore, 3420 will be graciously sending a portion of their own proceeds to purchase new winter coats for those affected by poverty and homelessness. Donors will be entered into a raffle for a 3420 merch package. Grab a pair of gloves, a beanie, a jacket, or whatever else you can think of, bring it to the event, and win some merch and listen to some exceptional beats!
Attendees are also encouraged to bring canned food goods, which will then be donated to Bienvenidos Food Bank. Check out the website for accepted food items.
