Zeds Dead has officially teamed up with Rotterdam producer & Deadbeats member IMANU and Toronto-based vocalist MKLA on their new single Runaway, out via Deadbeats. The track blends future bass and drum & bass into a cinematic high-energy with MKLA’s emotionally charged vocal delivery.
“Runaway” opens with an atmospheric yet heavy first drop. From there, it pivots into a fast, precision-driven second drop that leans fully into IMANU’s drum & bass sound. The contrast between the two sections gives the track both club energy and emotional weight.
MKLA reunites with Zeds Dead following their earlier collaborations “Alive” and “In My Head,” once again serving as the emotional core of the record. Her vocals tie together the contrasting styles, adding depth and cohesion while elevating the track’s sense of movement and release.
“Runaway” marks Zeds Dead’s first official release since their 2025 album Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, which was followed by a sold-out 12th annual Deadrocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and a Billboard-praised audiovisual project, Channel Flipping 2: Only You.
For IMANU, the release continues a breakout creative run that includes his De Verte showcase with Mixmag LAB during Amsterdam Dance Event.
