As one of the four pioneering performers from the illustrious Dirtybird Crew parties held in San Francisco–fellow-performer Claude VonStroke later developed that event into a record label and the Dirtybird brand of today. Worthy has been at the forefront of the bass-driven branch of house music that Dirtybird is notorious for. Last December, he kicked the holiday season off with a boom by announcing his “One-on-One” tour–a massive, 23-date tour to kick off in early 2017, and includes an overwhelmingly high-caliber line-up of guest performers along the way (Golf Clap, Ardalan, and Kill Frenzy just to name a few).
Worthy is making a stop in New Orleans to play at the Dragon’s Den on Sunday, January 15th! The Den has housed a number of Dirtybird affiliates in the past, and it is always a guaranteed party. If you’ve never been to this venue, the Den’s aesthetic lends itself to the vibes you’d expect at a packed, warehouse party in Brooklyn, but instead nestled into a corner right off of Frenchman St.
So, who is Worthy?
He is an OG Dirtybird. He has built his own music label dynasty, Anabatic Records. In each and every production or performance, Worthy never ceases to represent the sonorous wobbles, rumbling beats, and booty-shakin’ bass–always paying homage to his iconic Dirtybird roots. Satisfying our ears with smooth transitions, subtle nuances, and pulsating edits, Worthy seamlessly weaves an unmistakably unique, sonic profile and artistic identity, meant to not only be heard but felt, percolating through the body of anyone who listens. Want to experience it for yourself? Don’t take my word for it: come out on Sunday night! It’ll be an incredible energy to start off your 2017 right!
Tickets are on sale now! You can purchase tickets and RSVP here.
Surprise: we are also having a ticket giveaway on River Beats Facebook, enter to win a pair of tickets for you and a ‘worthy’ friend to party with Worthy and his special guest for this stop: Unicorn Fukr!
