Michigan-based producer TechTonic releases the official title track of his upcoming sophomore album, Bioluminescence.
“Bioluminescence” blends melodies with gritty basslines, glitchy percussion, and touches of saxophone, creating a vivid, immersive underwater world. It acts as the entry point into the album’s narrative, introducing a future where humanity has been forced to live beneath the ocean’s surface.

In this reimagined planet, humans, plants, and animals have evolved into one interconnected ecosystem, living in harmony. As the track unfolds, curiosity begins to build, with people starting to question their origins and venture beyond their city in search of answers.
Behind the project is Aaron Schwallier, better known as TechTonic, a producer, DJ, and music educator out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. His sound is rooted in blending the natural and electronic worlds. The result is a style that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
His live performances bring that vision to life, incorporating original tracks, remixes, and edits alongside live saxophone, EWI, and keys, often featuring guest vocalists to create a fully unique experience each time. He’s shared stages with acts like Mersiv, Jantsen, Daily Bread, Buku, and AHEE. Beyond the music, TechTonic is deeply involved in education, founding a music production program within Grand Rapids Public Schools and leading the local chapter of Boredom Fighters, a nonprofit focused on bringing music education to underserved youth.
