Subtronics TESSERACT

Electronic music innovator Subtronics has just released his highly anticipated second studio album, TESSERACT, via his label Cyclops Recordings. This album showcases his wide-ranging talent with a diverse array of tracks that push the boundaries of the genre. Coinciding with the album launch is the kickoff of Subtronics‘ 16-date US tour, starting tonight in Minneapolis.

Give the new album a listen below:

TESSERACT is a proper sequel to my first album FRACTALS and in the same sense, I aimed to demonstrate my range in both style, sound, and emotion.” – Subtronics

When listening through the full album, Jesse explains that “some songs are meant for the dancefloor, some are meant for the car, and some are meant to serenade you to sleep.”

“I am trying as best I can to create a fascinating alternative reality with magic and a sci-fi world of energy and feeling.” – Subtronics

The album features a talented lineup of collaborators: vocalists like Crooked Bangs (PollyAnna), Jem Cooke, Kwengface, and Grabbitz, as well as renowned producers REZZ, Excision, and HOL!. Lykke Li also lends her songwriting skills on “Alien Communication.”

Inspired by the geometric concept of the “tesseract,” Subtronics delves into his passion for quantum physics and multidimensional theories, exploring these themes through his innovative sound design and genre-fluid approach. This vision is brought to life through the album’s audio-visual experience and the captivating stage design for the TESSERACT tour.
