Minneapolis-based producer Seafarer just dropped his second single of the year with an exuberant new track called “Navigate“.
Earlier this year, Seafarer delivered a downtempo hit with his single “Ash & Ice” featuring Kristy Green on vocals. Today, the producer emerges after months of working on new music with “Navigate“, the latest peek into his upcoming North Star EP.
“Navigate” tells its story across many distinct movements, each building on the other with transforming melodic elements and an increase in energy. The track’s stirring piano movements bring an emotional current to the track, while the arpeggiated melodies and playful percussion transition between movements, ultimately bursting into a second chorus with skyrocketing synths before closing on a touching piano melody.
With two 2020 singles out the door and an unofficial remix of Odesza‘s “Line of Sight” that continues to stand out as one of the best cuts on the album hit, we’re pumped for what’s to come from Seafarer.
