in 2018, Red Rocks attendees for the red rocks 10-year anniversary featuring the pretty lights live gang were treated to what would be the last Pretty Lights show for five years. While it wasn’t officially announced PL was taking a break, It was surely implied by himself and his team as social posts became few and far in between (and none at all) and no new music emerged. Pretty Lights routinely said he needed to step away, and that eventually, a return would be in the works.
SOON.
While we all waited for that “soon” to return, we couldn’t help but wonder… is this it? Has Pretty Light and the Pretty Lights Live band decided to hang it up? After years of rumors, false stories, and just bad takes, Pretty Lights has indeed returned.
While the PLF is known for grasping at straws (as we all are!), this announcement was followed by Pretty Lights changing his profile photo on social media and updating his website.
the wait for the return of pretty lights is finally over.
Today, April 4, Pretty Lights is BACK and has shared a special video on social media, linked below.
In the video, Pretty Lights is seen saying “I’ll be back again” followed by a list of cities including Denver, Dillon, New Orleans, Atlanta, The Caverns, Philly, Brooklyn, Chicago, as well as something called “PL Live in Dub.”

The first clue: Hullaween shared a hint that their lineup would have something major on it, something “pretty special.”
