What was your first step into the industry?

“A relative of mine who is very well respected and predominant within the industry gave me my first break at the age of 19. I owe him everything. Lollapalooza 2012 was my gateway into this world I didn’t know existed. I knew absolutely nothing and was thrown into one of the biggest festivals in the country assisting the C3 Site Crew with all the madness. I was hooked immediately, and have loved life ever since. I’ve become part of the best Site Crew in the world, and continue to learn and grow my presence within the industry with each passing year.”

What was your first moment that you knew you wanted to be involved in the arts/music/culture scene?

“I’ve been a massive music fan since birth. My dad raised me with Black Sabbath, Metallica, Soundgarden, Nirvana, etc.. I always wanted to, but never knew how or in what aspect. “

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

“Honestly? Proving everyone wrong. As a 19-year-old shy and timid kid working with some of the most jaded and rough people I’ve met, I shocked them all. Everyone thought I wouldn’t return for any of gigs after that, but I did and have ever since. Now I’m just like them! Woo!”

Proudest moment?

“Lollapalooza 2014. I was promoted from Assistant Coordinator to Lead, and I was on a mission to prove my worth. My main vendor contact, Gary Brawn of Arena Americas, told me there was a “night and day difference” between how I ran my responsibilities, and the person in charge the previous years. He congratulated me on being so young and able to handle everything and introduced me to the CEO of Arena, who was also extremely impressed. As I thanked him and walked away, far from anyone being able to see or hear me, I was literally running, jumping, and screaming with joy. That meant the world to me. “

Who are you listening to right now?

“Haha, perfect question! Redbone by Childish Gambino. His new album is absolutely incredible.”

What is your life motto?

“Enjoy life. I mean it, really enjoy it. We have such a short time on this earth and I feel we owe it to ourselves to enjoy as much of it as we can. Also, be the hardest working guy in the room. It’ll take you places.”

Where do you see yourself in five years?

“Working alongside the people I admire and idolize. As of now, I work for them, but I would like to work with them.”

Where would you like to travel to?

“Australia. I’ve been obsessed with that crazy place since watching my childhood hero Steve Irwin conquer the wilderness at 5 years old. It may soon become a reality. “

What is something you are really excited for in the next year?

“Insomniac and C3 Presents new festival, Middlelands. Extremely excited to see it succeed and become as huge as EDC and Lollapalooza. I truly believe it has the potential to be something great.”
