We Compiled a Packing List Full of Electric Forest Essentials To Ensure You Have a Flawless EF Experience

It’s no joke when people talk about how packing for EF can be difficult. We have created a list of items that you may have forgotten about to ensure that you have the best time at Electric Forest 2025.

Included at the bottom is the updated list confirmed by the EF team of items that have been banned or prohibited from the festival this year. Most of which are incredibly obvious, but you wouldn’t expect some of these items that people have indeed brought in the past.

Essentials:

These are items that will help you last the entire weekend to the best of your ability that you may have forgotten to pack int he past.

  • Sunscreen
  • Lotion
  • Chapstick
  • Hairties/ hair accessories
  • Dry shampoo (essential)
  • Sunglasses
  • Bandaids
  • Vitamins 
  • Melatonin
  • Gold bond/ chaffing sticks 
  • Towel
  • Shower Shoes (Flip Flops)
  • Shower products
  • Deodorant 
  • Toilet paper for your closest porta potty (trust me on this one)
  • Wet wipes
  • Makeup remover wipes
  • Nail glue
  • Eyelash glue
  • Comfy slip on shoes to walk around camp
  • Bowl for foot bath (if you like to wash your feet before bed… and you will)
  • Speaker for camp
  • Headlamp for bathroom walks at night

Camp Supplies:

When setting up camp, you don’t want to realize you forgot something essential when it is too late. EF will be monitoring vehicles leaving and re-entering this year tighter than they have in the past.

  • Tent (CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOUR TENT STAKES ARE IN THE BAG….trust us)
    • We also recommend practicing setting up your tent before traveling to ensure you have everything you need
  • Canopy 
  • String lights/ lighting for camp
  • Solar charging lights 
  • Jumper cables
  • Outdoor rug for camp 
  • Tapestries
  • Hammocks (for tree covered camping)
  • Wagon to bring stuff into the forest (optional)
  • Blankets 
  • Air Mattress or something to sleep on
  • Stand up mirror (for the girlies)
  • Cooler
  • Portable charger
  • Car power connector
  • Electric grill
  • Stand up table for food and drinks 
  • Seating/ Beanbag chairs/ Foldable chairs

Food & Beverage:

Food is really up to the attendee. We recommend these essentials for easy eating to ensure you stay healthy, energetic, and hydrated throughout the festival. This list includes things you may not have thought to bring.

  • Paper plates
  • Biodegradable or wood utensils
  • Serving dishware
  • Red solo cups
  • Ziplock bags
  • Refillable water bottles (stanley, yheti, ect)
  • Dry ice for cooler! 
  • Ice (pick up from local walmart)
  • Napkins
  • Paper towel
  • Protein bars
  • Granola bars
  • Peanuts
  • Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
  • Hot dogs 
  • Pre-made pasta salad with protein
  • Chef boyaredee or spaghettios (canned foods)
  • Camping food items (look up no bake meals)
  • Gatorade or preferred electrolytes
  • Caffeine (we bring iced coffee for the mornings)
  • Water bottles or jugs 
  • Fruit tray
  • Veggie tray
  • Alcoholic beverages (cans or plastic only)
  • Any other snacks for inside the festival

For the Festival:

Essentials of the forest! Check out our “Know Before you Go” guide to see why you may need some of these items!

  • Trinkets to trade
  • Kandi, accessories, sprouts, little plushies, lollipops
  • Comfortable shoes to change into at night 
  • A large amount of comfy clothes for the PM 
  • Vicks sticks 
  • Essential oil rollers (perfume attracts bugs)
  • Flow toys
  • Hydropack 
  • Blanket/ Tapestries to sit on inside the festival
  • Hand held fan or water mister (trust)
  • Portable stool (for the older ravers)
  • Pashmina to block the sun & trap in wind

Prohibited Items:

The list of prohibited items has changed every year for the festival. EF has tightened security every year, things you may have been able to bring in the past are no longer allowed and will be confiscated upon security check points. Let us know what you think about these prohibited items.

  • Fireworks, flying prayer lanterns, or explosives
  • Open flame, candles, or charcoal (small Coleman-style campstoves will be the one exemption from this rule)
  • Generators. RV’s with built-in generators that run off the RV’s gas are permitted. External fuel generators IE gas, diesel, or kerosene, and gas cans are not permitted. Solar generators are exempt.
  • Gas/fuel cans of any kind (with the exception of small propane containers for campstoves listed above)
  • Box trucks
  • Large sound systems (and if neighbors ask to turn it down please respect their wishes)
  • Glass (mirrors are allowed)
  • Kegs or hard liquor
  • Drones
  • Laser pointers
  • Illegal substances
  • Nitrous oxide
  • Weapons of any kind (Including pocket knives)
  • Tiki torches
  • Golf clubs
  • Hammers
  • Unauthorized merchandise sales
  • Helium tanks
  • Bicycles, skateboards, or scooters
  • Boats or hard sided floatation devices
  • One Wheelers
  • American Indian headdresses*
  • Confederate flags*
  • Threatening signs or apparel*
