After seriously injuring his ankle at a Las Vegas show on May 25, Martin Garrix is forced to cancel his shows in the next month. Allegedly, the tear was much worse than expected, despite “feeling positive after some days of rest.” All of his ankle ligaments are completely torn, and surgery is required, otherwise there will be permanent damage.
In the announcement, it is said that he has to cancel all shows for at least “the upcoming four weeks.” This includes stops at Ultra Korea, Spring Awakening, Echostage, a few Vegas shows, and more.
Check out the announcement below:
Feel better soon, Martin!
’’I’m devastated that I have to cancel these shows since nothing makes me happier than performing for you guys. […] Unfortunately this is out of my control and I will need a surgery and enough rest to fully recover. […] I want to thank everyone for their continuous support and I hope to be able to get back on stage to perform for you guys again really soon.’’
