Lil Wayne Hospitalized: Cancels Sunday Las Vegas Show Due to Multiple Seizures

New Orleans native Lil Wayne was hospitalized Sunday after experiencing several seizures in a Chicago Hotel Room.

The seizures caused the rapper to cancel his Sunday night show in Las Vegas. Carter’s medical history of epilepsy has always been public fact; this isn’t the first time poor health has gotten in the way of appearances.

In lieu of Carter playing the event, the nightclub continued the show with a replacement performance made by Atlanta rapper T.I. “Lil Wayne and the entire Young Money / Maverick team are valued partners and members of the Drai’s LIVE family,” explained in a social media post made by the nightclub/promoter.

“Our priority is the health and well-being of our artists. Everyone at Drai’s wishes Lil Wayne a speedy recovery during this time.”

Wayne had a string of medical incidents in 2013, and again spent time hospitalized in 2016. After multiple trips to the intensive care unit, LiL wayne explained his poor health to the public. “The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself. That’s just typical me though.”

We wish a speedy recovery to Lil Wayne.
