There comes a time when the music isn’t just music anymore, it’s a fever dream on wheels, soaked in sweat, vinyl crackle, and love so loud it rattles your skull. Future Joy, that wild-eyed duo of Zach Simms and Emily Cooper, has finally dropped the curtain on their full-length brainwave blast of an album, NOW, and it’s not so much a record as it is a cosmic love grenade hurled at the heart of America.
Two years. 100,000 miles. An RV rolling through deserts, festivals, and God knows what else. These creatives recorded in motion, tracking sax riffs in studio parking lots, building bass drops in gas station Wi-Fi zones, vibing under Floridian sunsets and coastal moons. “NOW” is the road made audible: house, funk, pop, and low-end soul stitched together by the gospel of joy.
Their single “When I’m With You” has become a modern love hymn, blasting through subwoofers and wedding playlists alike. “Just Breathe,” featuring UnderLux, defies gravity, literally, the video finds them skydiving with a saxophone like some kind of airborne Kenny G.
And for the first time, they’ve gone full wax, pressing the chaos onto vinyl, like catching lightning in a groove.
They were married this year under the Florida sun at Joyful Festival, and now they’re taking the whole damn country with them, hitting Bonnaroo, Hulaween, Shangri-La, and every bass-blasted oasis in between.
This isn’t just music. It’s war paint for the soul. And the time is NOW.
