Premiering on the blog today is a single from rising Florida producer Egzod.
“Vision” is the third single off Egzod’s EP Atman. “Vision” features filthy bass-lines interwoven through melodic soundscapes, making it the heaviest song off of the EP. Atman refers to an Indian term that equates to the “inner self or soul; the true self of an individual.” The entire EP does a great job of showing this spiritual journey. It features musical themes that show emotion and an over the top epic feeling.
The lead single off the EP, the self-titled “Atman,” was released earlier this month. “Vision” is the third and final track released, rounding out a cinematic three-track EP.
Why do we like it?!
Egzod has a very unique sound in a field of oversaturated producers. He does a remarkable job of capturing themes of world culture, mixed with a touch of spirituality. Atman features a myriad of real instruments: including the Bansuri, Sitar, Asian chants, Chime, Shamisen, and various Indian percussion instruments. The cinematic vibe evokes visualizations of eastern landscapes and truly speaks to the soul.
Egzod does a fantastic job of standing out with his music, and “Visions” proves to be no different. Stream the single below, and be on the lookout for the remaining two singles!
