The title track, “Respawn,” comes from a pivotal moment in EAZYBAKED’s journey. “I (Eric) presented a core melodic idea to Kayo, knowing he would be able to bring it to life. The instrumental foundation we sent him was titled ‘Respawn,’ and he masterfully elevated it,” Eric explains. Okaykayo opens up about his journey with the track, sharing how it helps him process the pain of a breakup and find personal growth. “I hope listeners can feel the emotion the boys and I both put into this song and I hope it can help them in the same ways it helped me to make it,” he says.

A Defining Moment in EAZYBAKED’s Career

Respawn moves away from EAZYBAKED’s signature heavy bass roots, embracing a more melodic and emotive sound. This project marks their first time collaborating with a vocalist, pushing the duo to new artistic heights.

“It was incredibly liberating to trust our instincts and push the creative boundaries to this point. While releasing this project feels daunting to us, we approach it with a sense of excitement and vulnerability.”

This emotional journey reflects real-life experiences: Andrew embarks on a new chapter as a single father, while Eric navigates the exhilaration of new love and moving away from his hometown. These life changes bring a raw authenticity to the music, making “Respawn” an emotional rollercoaster that resonates deeply with listeners.
