TMZ reports that Chester Bennington from rock-punk group Linkin Park committed suicide in his Los Angeles home. The report claims that Bennington was found in a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates sometime before 9 am on Thursday morning.
Bennington has had a successful career with Linkin Park. They have just released their seventh studio album, One More Light this May. The title track,”One More Light” was sung as a tribute to Chris Cornell (who also recently committed suicide and was close to Bennington). He also wrote this thoughtful letter to Cornell wishing him and his family peace.
We also wish peace for Bennington, his family, and those who love him. As music fans all over the world mourn an artist who has changed millions of lives with his voice; we at River Beats are devastated by this news.
Rest in Peace Chester Bennington, may the world always remember the impact made by your music and your life.
