Experience the Ceremony Tour with Black Tiger Sex Machine

The robotic, feline faces of Black Tiger Sex Machine like to describe their sound as futuristic thriller. With their signature dark, deep bass, the Canadian trio certainly are reminiscent of horror flick sounds.

Patrick Barry, Marc Chignon and Julien Maranda – or BTSM as the group is often abbreviated – have been producing and performing together since 2011. With their live performance, the boys sync their state-of-the-art LED shows to their heavy grooves as an electronic band. With drum machines, keyboards and central mixers BTSM create an apocalyptic bass experience like no other. It’s an experience they and their fans have coined “church.”

Since their exposure in the Montreal nightlife scene, the group toured festivals around the world. They have supported big name artists like Excision, Porter Robinson, Clavin Harris, and Skism. They’ve also become the face of their own Kannibalen Records: a Montreal-based label aimed at giving exposure to some of their fellow hometown artists.

With their latest album New Worlds released earlier this month, BTSM brings bone rattling bass and static synths in an undead, electro party unlike any other. Their newly released single “Numbers” boasts a electro-grunge beat and a sci-fi themed music video that they dedicated to the 90’s fantasy film Blade.

With their upcoming Ceremony tour, the group collides headfirst with astounding lights and powerful sounds. BTSM are in charge of every aspect of their Ceremony performance, and they won’t stop anywhere short of extraordinary.

Support for the New Orleans show includes fellow Kannibalen artists Lektrique and Kai Wachi and Los Angeles metal-bass musician Sullivan King.

Black Tiger Sex Machine is bringing their Ceremony Tour to the Republic in New Orleans this Saturday. Purchase tickets here.
