BUKU Cancels 2021 Event, Announces Alternative Event for Next October

BUKU Cancels 2021 Event, Announces Re-Imagined Alternative Event Next October

We knew it was coming, but this one hurts. BUKU Music + Art Project in new orleans, la is the first festival to cancel its 2021 edition. Other festivals have said they are still moving forward as planned with events later into next year and have not cancelled yet, including Coachella next April 2021, and EDC Las Vegas next May 2021.

BUKU is always one of the first festivals of the year, in line with Okeechobee Music + Arts Festival, and almost threw this year’s event on the cusp of the start of the pandemic, but cancelled two weeks prior. Okeechobee continued as planned, and was one of the only festivals to happen this year.

In lieu of next year’s major festival and 10-year anniversary, they will be hosting a special event called BUKU: Planet B – an immersive, one-time-only alternative take on BUKU October 22 and 23, 2021. Stay tuned for more into in the New Year and throughout the Spring regarding this event.
